Class 3Q

NESS GARDENS TRIP

On Monday 23rd May Year 3 visited Ness Gardens. Each class had the opportunity to explore this beautiful place with our staff. In addition they took part in a tour guided by a ranger who gave us an enjoyable and interesting experience.

We discovered plants living in different conditions and learned a lot about how plants adapt to the environment, including pollination and seed dispersal methods.

Thank you to Ness Gardens for a wonderful day!

CHRISTMAS FUN

Our last week of the term was great fun! We did lots of Christmas activities and had a lovely class party.

Let's have a relaxing break until our new term begins!

HAVE A LOVELY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY!

COBBLE HEY FARM

The children had a great day!

We learned lots of things including how various foods are produced and how land is used for different farming purposes in the UK.

We had the opportunity to see and hold lots of animals which was interesting and sometimes entertaining!

Have a look at these photos!

Welcome to Class 3Q

The end of the school year is fast approaching!

Our last week of school will include an activity day at I.M. Marsh on Wednesday 15th July and our cake sale on Friday 17th July.

Before we start our summer break, I would like to say thanks to all the children in 3Q and their families for being part of our journey together.

Enjoy the summer!

On Thursday 19th March, we performed our class assembly in the school hall.

It was a lovely assembly, both educational and fun. The children worked very hard in rehearsals and they spoke and danced beautifully! Well done!

Thank you to all the family and friends for coming to watch.

Have a good day, y'all!

WELL DONE, 3Q! YOUR USA ASSEMBLY WAS WONDERFUL!

YEAR 3'S VISIT TO TESCO (DECEMBER 2014)

Thanks to Tom, one of the managers at TESCO, Allerton Road, for an informative and entertaining insight into how technology is used in their stores.

Our visit involved many aspects of technology, including how the bakery works, the security hub and the operation of the tills. The children were commended on their very good behaviour. Well done!

We are hoping to use our strong links with TESCO to provide further learning opportunities in the near future. I wonder if they do food tasting as well!

There is information about the visit in the gallery. Tom passed on these photographs taken directly from the security footage.
