We have all been very sensible and mature during our SRE lessons. We now know what changes will happen to our bodies during puberty. Below, you can see what we found out about what puberty is and when it may happen to various people.
Today we discussed what dementia is and how we can help promote a good quality of life for people we know who have dementia. We have been working design teams to create menus that are suitable for a range of dietary requirements. Our team work skills were fantastic.
Many people would panic in an emergency situation. We have been practising what to do when someone is hurt and revising our first aid vocabulary. We role played phoning 999 for help and played some vocabulary games to ensure we know how to explain what is wrong with an injured or ill person. We have created some first aid dictionaries to show off what we found out.

We have explored pictures in the media to see what messages they are sending to young people and how they may affect our body image. This lead into a debate about how we can encourage ourselves and others to have a positive body image.
We have been learning about different families and what they all have in common. Who've been celebrating the differences in our families.
We have been learning about the dietary requirements that some people have. We have been sorting foods according to whether they are suitable for people who are diabetic, lactose intolerant, coeliac or allergic to nuts.
Today, we discussed how to stay healthy and make the right choices with our foods. We have identified what a balanced meal would look like and what we need different food types for.
We are currently discussing the risks of using the Internet and the problems that we may encounter when we spend time online. We have spent a lesson focusing on spam email. We developed some jingles to offer advice about what spam is, how to avoid it and how it can cause us harm. One brilliant example can be watched below. We have finished our PSHE life skills course. Over the last nine weeks, we have discussed many aspects of our current lives and future adult lives. Be sure to ask us which skills we are now equipped with. These skills will help us to develop into responsible and happy adults.

We talked about how love can mean very different things to different people, but realised that loving someone involves caring for them a great deal.
