Handwriting

At Booker Avenue Junior School we use the Penpals Handwriting Scheme. Penpals for Handwriting is a complete handwriting scheme for 3–11 year olds, offering clear progression through five developmental stages. It teaches children a fast and fluent handwriting style to help them achieve their potential in writing. It is a Government requirement that children can maintain legibility in joined handwriting when writing at speed by the end of Year 6.The document below shows the different joined letter formations so that they can be practised at home too.
