The letter above contains the information you need to apply online for your child's Secondary School place from 12th September when the Council formally opens up the Year 7 2021 admissions application round.

You may note that this letter is no longer personalised as in previous years, this is due to improvements in software which have meant the application software no longer requires unique codes to match children’s records when parents make their applications.

This letter is for Liverpool resident pupils only and the deadline for submission is 31st October. Please see note included within the letter this year, which highlights the possibility of a deadline extension for this year of one week due to preparation issues for some secondary schools who include entrance exams as part of their admissions arrangements.

For children who are not Liverpool Local Authority residents, parents must apply through relevant home local authority in order to make an online application to them. The School Admissions Code co-ordination requires applicants to apply to their home local authority so outside local authority residents, even if they wish to apply for Liverpool secondary schools, must apply to their relevant home local authority, i.e Sefton/Knowsley/Halton.
